My good friends at 350.org send along notice of a 350 Climate Conference at Columbia:
Members of the Columbia University Masters in Climate and Society program are pleased to announce an upcoming conference on climate change “The 350 Climate Conference” (http://www.350conference.org) that will be hosted at Columbia University, New York City on May 2nd, 2009.
The 350 Climate Conference will bring together significant figures from within the climate debate including keynote speaker Dr. James Hansen, Director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies. This conference will critically examine the question of “What is the safe upper limit of atmospheric carbon dioxide?” as well as explore the top strategies for reducing atmospheric carbon dioxide.
We are presently soliciting sponsorship for the conference. If your organization, business, or school is interested in becoming a sponsor, please see the attached information sheet that describes the opportunities available or contact us directly at 350Conference@gmail.com. Additional information can be found on our website.
We appreciate your time and look forward to speaking with you about your company, organization, or school being involved in this important and exciting event.
Yours truly,
